Lee & Crowley, LLC is hiring a Senior Audit Associate. We are a boutique full-service assurance, tax, and business advisory firm founded in 2017 and are expanding our team to deal with the rapid growth we have experienced over the past few years. Our clients come to us not just for regulatory compliance, but as trusted advisors to help them tackle their most difficult challenges. Our daily work is a mix of both accounting related tasks and advisory work to help our clients grow their businesses and make sound decisions based on not just historical data but also forward looking insights.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Conduct audit, review, and compilation procedures including testing of controls, substantive testing, and analytical procedures, to evaluate the accuracy and completeness of financial information for privately held businesses.
- Coordinate day-to-day duties, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up, ensuring seamless execution.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (U.S. GAAP) and generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS).
- Lead and direct audit and review engagements from planning to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Mentor, train, and supervise staff.
- Effectively communicate and cultivate collaborative and professional relationships with peers, supervisors, and clients through positive interactions and responsiveness.
- Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in auditing practices.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge
Education/Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA or obtain 150 credit hours for CPA eligibility.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with a public accounting firm required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on client responsiveness.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
- Ability to excel both independently and collaboratively.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
